We lit up Acharacle in December 2023 by turning our community into a living "Advent Calendar": 24 households, organisations or businesses took part and decorated 1 window each during the month of December. These windows formed a trail for people to follow each afternoon/evening once it was dark, with a new window being revealed each day in the countdown to Christmas.
We made a map with the participating streets marked on it, so people knew whereabouts to look, as well as posting a daily hint on Facebook, with a picture of that day's Window.
We held a Christmas Craft Workshop on Saturday 25th November 2023 2-4pm for anyone who needed some help starting their window or who wanted to make some decorations.
The Trail was opened with some lovely carols and other seasonal songs by the Sunart Singers on 1st December 2023. Click here to hear them!
